Check me out in the short film - "The Pursuit"

Okay... here's a rough edit (currently in post production) of one of the short films I did recently entitled, "The Pursuit". I played the lead as James Garrett.

The story: A Christian college student named James encounters an agnostic young woman named Renee at a Christian house party and becomes infatuated with her, driving him to try and persuade her to become a Christian so she could be his girlfriend. As James seeks to encounter Renee several times after their initial meeting, James presents Renee with different Christian principles to challenge Renee's beliefs, who in return challenges James' faith with her responses, but the unexpected cost of James' pursuit causes him to give up his endeavor, and he chooses to leave Renee up to her own devices. Some time after their first encounter, they run into each other again at the same nightclub, but Renee surprises James by telling him that he inadvertently made her a believer, while James surprises Renee with the news that he is now agnostic.

Female actors/models needed! VA/MD/DC area!

A graduate film student friend of mine is in desperate need of two female actresses and/or models for a short film project for her class. The film piece is essentially a couple walking along the park, enjoying the day and then as they sit down they get into a fight. The girlfriend walks away leaving the guy in the park. Later, a different female walks by and is attracted to the guy. They make eye contact and the guy perks up. That's it. Short & sweet... simple work. The plan is to shoot on Thursday - Oct. 26th between 3-5PM. Participants will need to arrive at 2:30. The location will be at Meridian Hill Park in Washington DC. Compensation for your time is $50.00 and a DVD copy for your actor reel. If interested, shoot me an e-mail at patrickstrange@gmail.com with your headshot and/or recent pic and resume (if available). Thank you for your time and assistance!

Hello all,

Portions of the film will be made available on www.declarationofpeace.org, www.youtube.com, www.myspace.com and other venues & websites to be announced. The purpose of this post is to call on you all (my family, friends and general public) for questions that you all would like me to ask the protestors/govt. officials/etc. in regards to the current state of affairs of our country and its dealing with the Iraq situation. We are hoping to cover both sides of the issue and invite anyone & everyone to share their view whether they are for or against the President and the occupation of Iraq. The filming started today and will continue until next Thursday, September 28th. If you are in the VA/MD/DC area and would like to express your views/opinions to me on camera and are able to come into downtown DC where we are shooting, send me an e-mail at patrickstrange@gmail.com to arrange a time. Thank you for your time and I appreciate your assistance.

FILM - Declaration of Peace Protest

To all my fam & friends and to anyone whom would like to speak out about the current state of affairs of our country:

The Declaration of Peace

DECLARATION OF PEACE PROTEST - Washington DC

Starting tomorrow, I will be assisting Nathaniel Paluga and the T & B Institute (Motion Pictures & Press) in filming the Declaration of Peace Protest for a film documentary from September 21st to the 28th in Washington DC.  From September 21-28, just days before Congress adjourns for the fall elections, Declaration signers will take action – and support a comprehensive peace process – by taking part in nonviolent action, marches, rallies, demonstrations, interfaith services, candlelight vigils and other creative ways to declare peace at the U.S. Capitol and in cities and towns across the country.

Sign the Declaration of Peace

If you are planning on attending the protest and would like to have your voice heard on film, then contact me at patrickstrange@gmail.com.

The Declaration of Peace:

Take Action to End the US War and Occupation in Iraq!

The Declaration of Peace is a nationwide campaign to establish by September 21, 2006 a concrete and rapid plan for peace in Iraq, including:

  • a prompt timetable for withdrawal of troops and closure of bases
  • a peace process for security, reconstruction, and reconciliation
  • and the shift of funding for war to meeting human needs.

If this plan for peace is not created and activated by Congress by September 21, the International Day of Peace, Declaration signers across the U.S. will engage in nonviolent action in Washington, D.C. and in communities throughout the nation.
